The Light Maestro software runs locally on your machine; only the showcase site,
license authentication and payment are hosted.
Light Maestro is DMX lighting control software, distributed under the MIT license. Purchasing a Standard or Full edition is a perpetual license (not a subscription), tied to your account, including minor 1.x updates. Fixture definitions come from the Open Fixture Library (MIT license).
Secure one-time payment via Stripe (bank cards). No banking details pass through our servers. In accordance with Article L221-28 of the Code de la consommation, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content supplied with your prior consent and acknowledged start of performance (immediate license activation). In the event of a proven malfunction preventing use, contact us: any legitimate refund request is reviewed within 14 days.
The software is provided "as is". The publisher cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damage related to its use, including in live performance. The operator remains solely responsible for their show: always check your full chain (software + interface + fixtures) in rehearsal before any public event.
⚠️ Photosensitivity: strobe effects can trigger photosensitive epileptic seizures. Always warn the audience before a show with strobes. The software caps strobe by default — only increase it if the venue and audience are suitable.
Account: email + encrypted password, kept to manage your license. Payment: processed by Stripe, we never see your card. Projects: your .lmproj files stay on your machine, no cloud upload by default. Showcase site: no tracking cookies, no personally identifiable audience measurement. In accordance with the RGPD, you have a right of access, rectification, erasure and portability: write to contact@light-maestro.com (reply within 30 days). Deleting your account deletes your data, except for accounting obligations and payment logs kept for 10 years.
All elements on the site (texts, graphics, logos, images, videos, icons) are the exclusive property of [À COMPLÉTER — Nom de l'entreprise ou Votre Nom] or its partners, and are protected by the Code de la propriété intellectuelle. Any reproduction, representation, modification, publication or adaptation of all or part of these elements, by any means or process whatsoever, is prohibited without the prior written authorization of the publisher. The name "Light Maestro", its logo and visual identity are reserved: no commercial or derivative use is permitted without written agreement.
Exception — the software itself: the Light Maestro program is distributed under the MIT license, which expressly permits use, modification and redistribution of the code (see the License page). Acquiring or downloading the software does not transfer any ownership of the trademark, the site content or these reserved elements. The terms of commercial use of the paid features (Standard / Full editions) are governed by the license of the corresponding edition, activated via your account.
French law. In the event of a dispute, first seek an amicable solution via support. In accordance with Articles L611-1 et seq. of the Code de la consommation, you may resort free of charge to a consumer mediator: [À COMPLÉTER — Nom + URL du médiateur désigné]. Failing agreement, the French courts have jurisdiction.
